We've been a busy Rescue Center.  The week between Christmas and New Year's always brings extra visitors, because many people are off or are visiting family. The cats are, of course, enjoying this!

We had two more adoptions.
Chesterfield and Cariad were adopted together! Such a wonderful thing, as they are brothers! So happy for them.

And more adoptions coming up today!

We took in 2 more kittens. I am amazed that we are still getting kittens. These little siblings were found at an outside workplace.  Cold and hungry.  The work guys took them into their hotel and brought in the next morning.
Nairobi--orange/white,  male, 4 white feet, white chin, neck and up the nose.
Liris--torti, tiger, female, 2 front white toes
Both Nairobi and Liris have small spots on their ears where frostbite had started. But, now that they are warmed up, the ears look much better. They were dirty and had grease/oil on them, probably from the vehicles at the worksite.  They are 10 weeks old and arrived 12/27/17. Their birthdate is 10/19/17. Two nice kittens. They had heaters yesterday and slept the entire day.

We have thanks to give!  We are a grateful bunch here at FFRC!

Here's an update on Mally and Shalimar--They are doing well.  They are totally different kittens--Shalimar plays hard and crashes hard and Mally is more mellow.  They have both made themselves at home.

It's mighty cold here.  I know some of our viewer friends have had massive amounts of snow.  We had about 4-5 inches but the temps now for the next week are down to minus 14.  Brrry cold.  All the heat lamps and heat pads are being used.  All 4 horses are brought in now for night time. Millie the donkey and Pickles the goat have a nice straw bed in the lean too.  The barn animals--geese, ducks, peacocks, etc., gets ample feed.

The Covies are doing good. We keep their furnace around 55 degrees--plenty comfy for them! It's interesting how they become bet buds in the winter--sleeping in heaps is always warmer!

We have officially shut down the back Thumper's Room! It's been a very long time since we've had that room down.  The two mama cats--Nsuku and Julianne are actually doing quite well . They are enjoying running all over and both are now playing! Such a good thing to see.

Jaam is here in the purple room, playing with Tracker--they have become good friends.  Janie, the doggie, is happily napping on the top of the Kuranda Tower again! Always makes me smile.  Zelda is on my desk, along with Kester who is snugged right up to Zelda for a nap! Annet is curled up on a scratching toy, watching the kittens playing. The 3 littlest ones--Bambi, Brielle and Bloom are doing great--they fit right in and play with the rest of the kittens.

Kota and KaeKae, the newer sisters are so cute--both have that cobby look to their frame. Kota is braver and is in the Main Area while KaeKae likes to lay with Eddie White on his shelf.

Take care, stay warm!
