Zelda is happy--she's sleeping soundly on the desk in a big thick bed.  Magic is right here too, circled up looking like a big O snoozing away. Asha is right behind me, in dream land. Tummiew are all full and sleep has taken over!

Saturday we had a great group of kids from St. John's Lutheran come and helped at FFRC.  They were here for 2 hours doing service projects. Such a great group of young adults. The cats loved all the extra attention!

EXTRA! EXTRA! I neglected to put the complete BOX givers on the blog, so I would like to get that caught up. I'm so sorry.

We took on a new cat. Her name is Callisynne (a Name a Cat name).  It's pronounced Cal-i-syn.  She 's a black/white female, young adult. She is 1 1/2 years old with a birthdate of 10/10/17.  She arrived 4/7.  Normally we like to keep them in quarantine a bit longer but she had other plans. First, she tore her pen to bits. I put her in a new pen and she promptly dumped everything in there and put her paws out of the bars.  So, I put her on the floor of the front Thumper's Room--she liked that for 5 minutes and made her way then thru that door to the Welcome Room.  She looked thru that door into the main area with her paws sticking out about 5-6 inches, reaching into the main area.  We managed to keep her in that room until this morning. Zoom--she was out and now she's happy!  Super sweet cat!

Our April Fun-Raiser is on!  We have 8 items. Two items (B and G) will have two names drawn.  BOXES will be at 4:00 on Thursday with the Drawing at 4:30.  This fun-raiser will need to go towards our operating needs again--it will help cover the propane bill, electric bill, our company we order many of our meds thru, our sewer line bill--just to name a few items.  Many thanks.

Can you believe we had snow flurries this morning?  There's actually snow dustings on the shed roofs. But...this Friday the high is suppose to be 73. Crazy weather but we sure will take those warmer temps. The Purple Martin house went up the pole yesterday. Hoping to have them come and nest here at FFRC.

We have an almost constant girl cluster on the yellow table--Kiara, Camvie, Marilyn and Cutie--they love the warm items coming out of the dryer.

Boo is doing wonderful. She loves people. Yes, she is ornery and likes to run like a blurred streak--but she is so much fun. Hoping to find a home for her soon. Mitz is learning that people coming in the door will easily give out pets and scratches--a smart girl! Clarissa loves people but she prefers them coming to her to give her the pets and ear rubs that she loves.

Magic is here patting my leg, like he does every morning. He wants up on his desk perch. And he wants to say---Every day is a good day to be alive, whether it's snowing or not!  (He actually loves the snow--watching it fall down from the Kabana is great fun!)
